Alessi Farfalla Nutcracker

Alessi, always been known for the high quality of its’ products, has evolved to become one of the leading “Factories of Italian design” capable of applying its expertise and excellence to many different product types.  Alessi has a strong bond with the traditions and cultural background of its area yet continues push against the desires of the general public. Alessi has been described as a “Dream Factory” which uses its products to make people’s dreams come true, by providing them with the art and poetry that they seek.

A project that in just a few strokes captures the deepest essence of the object and the gesture that accompanies it.  The Farfalla (butterfly) nutcracker is an example of that process of painstaking elimination of the superfluous that has always accompanied Enzo Mari’s research, a tribute to one of the Masters of Italian design.
