RECIPE | DONA Masala Chai Poached Pears

With hand selected ingredients, DONA brews whole spices that are ground fresh per every batch, and slow steeped to build flavour complexity. The result is an absolute pure and full bodied tea concentrate that can be added to baking, cooking, drinks and more.

DONA Masala Chai Poached Pears2 pears, peeled and halved2 cups Dona Masala Chai Concentrate1 teaspoon orange zestPinch of sea salt

In a medium saucepan, combine DONA Chai, salt and orange zest. On medium high heat bring liquid to a simmer, and carefully add pears making sure they are almost completely covered. Turn heat down to low, occasionally turning pears in the liquid. Cook until fork tender, but not falling apart, about 20 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove pears from liquid. Reserve the poach liquid for a sauce.

We're TOTALLY going to enjoy this with a giant scoop of high quality vanilla ice cream drizzled with the reserved poaching liquid and garnished with some crushed pistachios. Enjoy!
