Architect Aino Aalto pioneered Finnish design with her innovative approach that blended function, form and an honest use of materials. Iittala introduced the Aino Aalto Collection in 1932. Inspired by ripples in the water, the pressed glassware made an instant splash, winning the gold medal at the 1936 Milan Triennial. Since then, the classic collection has been an essential part of homes around the world for its simple, stackable, space-saving design.
